I want to listen to you 😊

Clubhouse thoughts… published on Facebook three weeks ago — and now on Medium for you…

This evening, on Clubhouse, a friend asked — how can we make Clubhouse a positive space; how we can make (conversations on) this platform accessible to more?

I thought about the question, and decided to write my response — in the hope of creating a way to further this goal.

I think it’s clear that we have no lack for content to watch, read, listen to… We have no lack for access to insights, data and even resources.

I believe that one of the biggest needs we have — is to be listened to; and therefore one of the biggest contributions we can make is to listen — intentionally, sincerely, authentically — to others.

So, how can we start listening better (on Clubhouse)?

I think it can be intimidating if everyone on the Clubhouse stage has super-impressive bios that’s focused on what they’ve achieved.

Perhaps we can create some space in our (Clubhouse) bio, to invite questions and indicate how we can serve; rather than serve as a prelude to what we will speak about.

I’ve since done that homework, and now have this to include in my Clubhouse bio…
